Without a doubt 2020 was a great vintage in Niagara. Quite possible the best on record for Bordeaux reds on the Beamsville Bench. Every component from colour to concentration, depth and aroma, are punching well above their weight. This Cabernet dominant blend is full to the brim with aromas of cassis, blackberry, black licorice, cedar and spice. The palate is concentrated with a dense fruit core, ample fine tannins and balancing acidity. The Pipe Down 2020 is drinking beautifully right now, albeit in a very primary stage of its life. The concentration of fruit, tannins and acidity will gift those with patience many years of enjoyment as this wine slowly evolves in bottle.
