2010 Chardonnay Reserve

2010 was a warm and early harvest, allowing the Chardonnay to be hand-picked with great flavour and ripeness in mid-September.  The grapes were whole bunch pressed, settled, and then racked to French oak barrels and puncheons for fermentation and ageing.  The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation, and lees stirring was employed to impart creaminess and texture to the wine during its eleven months in barrel.  The wine was blended, filtered, and then bottled in September of 2011.
